Accessing Advanced Duplication
After creating a promotion in Vividly, you can easily click on the provided link to jump straight into the advanced duplication function.
Select the promotion you'd like to duplicate and hit the "duplicate" button.
Use Cases for Advanced Duplication
Vividly offers four distinct ways to utilize advanced duplication:
1. Monthly Repeating Promotions
Use this when you have a promotion running repetitively every month.
Specify the frequency (e.g., every single month) and the number of repetitions (e.g., 11 times).
Proceed to the next step where you can choose to copy attributes like comments and tags (perhaps excluding attachments).
Review the generated promotions. You can edit dates or other details as needed.
2. Random Frequency Promotions
Ideal for promotions that don’t have a set pattern.
Select specific months you want the promotion to run, like January, March, May, etc.
Choose the attributes to duplicate, then review and confirm the created promotions.
3. Copying Promotions Forward in Time
Perfect when planning for the next year based on the current year's promotions.
Choose multiple promotions and specify how far ahead you want to move them (e.g., 12 months).
The system will replicate these promotions for the selected time frame.
4. Copying Across Different Retailers
If one retailer's calendar mirrors another, this method can save a lot of time.
Instead of moving promotions in time, reassign them to a different retailer.
Edit specific fields if needed, especially if some details differ between retailers.
Utilizing the Load from File Capability
Apart from the duplication methods, Vividly offers another time-saving feature. If you have promotion data in an Excel file:
Use the load from file capability to mass-upload promotions into Vividly.
You can also edit multiple promotions by downloading them, making changes in Excel, and then uploading the updated file back into Vividly.
